The museum houses, the collection of local identity Jack Morgan.

It includes a fine collection of stationary engines (mostly in running order), agricultural implements, artefacts relating to the local area, the railway and local Maori-------etc.

The museum is operated by the Jack Morgan Museum Incorporated, a registered NZ charity.

The Museum and Hotel together provide a convenient refreshment stop for travellers on SH1 with the museum, a cafe and public toilets on the same site. There is ample parking.

Jack Morgan

Jack Morgan was born in 1916, and has lived all his 96 years in the Hukerenui area. His passion for collecting memorabilia from the early pioneering days began about 35 years ago. The collection includes stationary motors, farming and household equipment, forestry, --etc. which he gifted to the community in 2008
